Over the Weekend...

First of all, I want to say "thank you" to Abby! She helped me get my brunch ready this Saturday for my women's book study group. Abby and I made this wonderful, seasonally delicious dessert, pumpkin bread pudding. It taste like pumpkin pie french toast. (http://smittenkitchen.com/) It's basically pumpkin pie custard and cubes of crusty bread mixed together and baked. Talk about comfort food! :) And we made a hash brown crust quiche that consisted of hash browns as the crust (baked first) and then you pour a mixture of eggs, half and half, bacon bits, green onion, pepperjack cheese, green pepper, red pepper into the hash brown crust and bake it for 30-40 minutes!!!!! It was so yummie!!!!! And to top it all off we had french press coffee with my new french press that Abby gave me as a housewarming gift! I love coffee made with a french press! I always say "Now that's a cup a coffee!"

Also, on Saturday, right as the women were arriving for the book study, my dining room table arrived and we got to eat at my new dining room table. I was so happy that it came in time for us to use.

Right now the dining room looks a little stark without curtains but Ryan is hanging the dining room curtains as we speak. They're just cream colored simple panel curtains that hang to the floor. They are simple and that's what I like. I love our dining room table. It seats 8 so we can host dinner parties and game nights so we are especially excited about that!
